Tours for admissions for September 2024 intake:

The Oaks are happy to announce our parent tours for Reception children due to start school in September 2024. Tours will be held on the following dates and times: 

 

Monday 9th October 2023 - 9:30am -11am

Thursday 23rd November 2023 - FULLY BOOKED

Tuesday 5th December 2023 - FULLY BOOKED

Thursday 11th January 2024 - 9:30am - 11am 

 

Tours will include a presentation at The Oaks by Senior Leaders from both The Oaks and Minterne and tours of both schools too. In previous years, parents have welcomed the opportunity to be able to see Minterne too, as it then helps you to see what your child's whole primary school journey would be.

 

To book onto one of these tours, please call the school office on 01795 423619. 

 

Unfortunately, we do not have capacity to accommodate children on these tours, therefore please arrange alternative childcare if possible. There will be an opportunity, if your child secures a place, for them to visit the school nearer the time of admission.

We cannot wait to see all of the children back in school again and to welcome our new Year R and Nursery children. Safer Internet Day was a very busy day. Today the children blew me away with their focus, concentration and confidence to have a go. They represented the school brilliantly and as you will know, I am delighted to share that our teams came 1st and 3rd. Next week we will share their medals with the whole school on Monday in Celebration Assembly and talk about the amazing growth mindsets they have all displayed.

Our 'Awe and Wonder in a Winter Wonderland' Christmas tree is now up at Tunstall Church. Check out the gallery for photos. Year Two are going on Thursday to look at the great variety of trees on show. Merry Christmas everyone!

As you all know we have been working hard to try and resolve the issues and have been in close contact with Parent Hub. Please see an update below which has come direct from them:

Yesterday we released an Android update that fixes the "Unsupported file" issue you were having when trying to open documents in the Parent Hub app.

If the app on your phone hasn't automatically updated yet, please tap on this link to download the update from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.parenthub.parenthub&hl=en_GB

Once you've installed the upgrade you should be able to open all document attachments without issue.

If you're still experiencing issues after the upgrade, please email support@parenthub.co.uk to let them know.
