Miss Miller is now a qualified Forest School Teacher (qualified in Spring 2020). Well done Miss Miller. We are thrilled to be offering Forest Schools as part of our curriculum.

Term 1 2022
During Term 1 15 children in Woodpecker class have enjoyed their six Forest School sessions. They thoroughly enjoy playing games like '1,2,3, Where are you ?' or '40/40' and have made their own woodland names starting with the first letter of their name. They have also learnt how to use palm drills, whittlers and hammers whilst undertaking a number of woodland themed activities such as Hapa Zome (leaf bashing art work), whittling sticks to make wands and using drills when making dream catchers.
The children are now aware of the safety rules and follow them religiously so I have been able to introduce them to fire lighting. We enjoy sitting around a warm camp fire making S'mores, pizza wraps, popcorn and boiling water for our hot chocolate.
The children have been enjoying all that Forest School has to offer!
