Autumn 2

Week 1 - Welcome back!

What a busy week back! Halloween has inspired some messy pumpkin play and we have loved exploring  textures and developing our fine motor skills with shaving foam and water beads. Some of us helped to open the Paint Bar and experimented with shape and colour mixing whilst mark making. This continued outside, making use of a huge puddle that had formed after all the rain. We have continued our daily trips to the woods this term and have loved exploring all the new resources, such as the tin can and pan instruments and the bucket and pulley. The bucket in particular allowed us to practise taking turns and help each other to talk about and demonstrate how things work. All the fallen leaves inspired some of us  to start a collection, which then allowed us to compare the leaves by shape, size and colour. Then we used them as props for our song, as we brought one woodland adventure to a close. Well done Ladybirds!
