Ladybirds spent an exciting week preparing for Easter making cards for our families whilst practising our skills in cutting and writing. We used the cards to talk about chicks, what the adult chick is called and how chicks are born inside eggs.
We continued with our phonic work with letters P, S and T and became very good at putting objects in the correct group determined by the initial letter sound. We learnt about alliteration and tried a few rhymes such as Peter Piper picked a piece of pickled pepper, much to the children's amusement.
We took part in a small Easter egg hunt at nursery and made baskets for the Easter Bunny to deliver a little surprise to us all. Some of us also had the opportunity to join into the school's Easter Egg Hunt. What a lovely end to our busy term.
Happy Easter to all of Ladybird Class.
