This week we will be visiting Australia and looking at some of the famous landmarks such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Barrier Reef and the Great Coastal Road. We will learn about some of the animals found in Australia , such as the Kangaroo and Kaola.
We continue to practice our mathematical skills with counting and number recognition. We will look at patterns in Aboriginal art and try some ourselves.
We will listen to stories with rhyming words and introduce alliteration to encourage children to listen to sounds and link to letters, starting with their names and the initial letter sound.
We will practice our scissor skills and pencil control in different activities to support our fine physical skills in addition to continuing to develop our large physical skills outside.
At home try to find pictures of places and animals connected to Australia and talk to children about the differences and similarities.
