Laydybirds will continue with their topic on fairy tales and traditional stories. The role play area will be turned into a castle with dressing-up clothes to help children dress up as queens, kings, princes and princesses. The children will make swords, shields and crowns to play with.
We continue to support children thinking about their transition to big school with visits to their new classes happening on Thursday.
Please support your children at home with their numeracy skills, counting and number recognition. Using numbers in their environment to support this, such as door numbers, the clock and numbers on food packets. In addition, encourage children to see words in their environment such as on cereal boxes, food containers, road signs, shops and books. Use the letter sound to help children develop their phonic skills.
