Welcome back to the last term in the school year. This will be a busy term with Sports Day and visits to classes for transition to school.
Ladybird Class are continuing to look at changes and new beginnings because of the interest shown by the children. We will continue to observe our froglets as they begin to lose their tails and become frogs and will talk to the children about why they need to be returned to their pond. We have a Blue Tit nesting in one of our trees and have been fortunate to see the adult birds flying to and from the nest with food for their chicks. We hope to watch the fledglings and their departure if possible. We will be planting beans and looking at the different parts of the bean and how it grows and talking about what it needs to grow and hopefully seeing some new shoots on our sunflower seeds that we planted.
Please continue to support your children with their number and letter recognition in practical activities, finding letters of their name and playing games using dice. This will provide continuity between home and nursery as we prepare children for being 'school ready'. If anyone can contribute resources that would support our topic we would be very grateful.
