We have had such a busy term! We started by learning about Awesome Autumn! We spent the first week thinking about Bonfire Night. We used 2Paint on Purple Mash to create firework pictures and used chalks to make representations of explosions. Through dance the children moved as fireworks, exploding in different ways to the music.
Then we moved to look at changes that happen in Autumn. We went on an Autumn walk, looking for signs in our environment. It was so much fun! We made a class book writing and drawing what we had learned. We now know about words like hibernate!
Over this week, we looked carefully at the similarities and differences between us, celebrating what makes each one of us special. We were lucky enough to have Project Salus come and do a workshop with our class. We talked about how we look and things we like to do that make us unique.
We also talked about what bullying is. This enabled the children to start to understand how they can keep safe and who can help them if they are worried that it was happening to them.
